Thursday, August 8th – 6:00pm – Rope Bite: Educational: “What a PREDICAMENT!” with Curious-One!
Come out for our usual Rope Bite Thursday night at Fallout. This session with Curious-One will focus on Predicament Ties, or simply – Predicaments! What are predicament ties? How do you tie someone in one, and what goes into a successful predicament scene? Come on out to this session of Rope Bite to learn from Curious-One and learn how to get the suck juuuust right. 😉 Open to All Levels, but No Rope 101. This session may involve uplines. Please remember that it’s okay to come and just watch if you aren’t yet ready for that step! We look forward to seeing people come out, whether you’ve never touched rope before or are super experienced. All are welcome. See the event description for more info.
Monday, August 12th – 7:00pm – Queer/Femme Rope Skill Share
Queer/Femme Rope Skill Share is a place for Queer, Femme ,Trans, and NonBinary community members to come together to share rope skills and socialize. Open to tops, bottoms, and switches of the LGBT+ community and femmes/women of all varieties. Hosted at a private space. $5 suggested donation per person to help cover the cost of the space. Vetting is required. Need to be vetted? Please speak with an RVARope Board member at a Rope Bite event, or please message the RVARope fetlife account for instructions for vetting. Thursday, August 22nd- 6:00pm – Rope Bite: Open Tie / Skillshare / Rope 101
Come out and enjoy some dedicated time and space to practice rope! You can feel free to practice anything that interests you, including “What a PREDICAMENT” from our last Rope Bite. We will also have our usual “Rope 101” class this session of Open Tie. The Rope 101 event is designed for anyone who may be interested in rope, and wants some good, FREE information to get started (as well as loaner rope for use during class)! Check Fetlife for details.
Tuesday, August 27th – 7:00pm – Rope Lab
Rope Lab is an intermediate to advanced practice and skill share opportunity where experienced rope practitioners can come together to work with and learn from each other in a private space. There is no formal instruction, just time to work on skills on your own or to collaborate with peers. $5 suggested donation per person to help cover the cost of the space. Vetting is required. Need to be vetted? Please speak with an RVARope Board member at a Rope Bite event, or please message the RVARope fetlife account for instructions for vetting.
The Tail End of the Rope
A Note on Vetting! We’re always willing to speak with community members that wish to be vetted for RVARope events held at private locations. However! We’ve identified recently that our vetting procedures are unclear to some. The Rope Board is working on a vetting policy that will be stickied under the RVARope group fetlife page. We will also make this available on the https://rvarope.com/policy/ page once it is done. We’ll send another update e-mail to you all once this policy is ready.
In the meantime, please note that while the RVARope board tries its best to read and respond to every message as quickly as is possible, we are humans with real jobs and non-kink lives, too! Please help us out by DMing the RVARope account or Contacting us to begin the vetting process as far in advance of an event as you are able. And, vetting can be done at every single Rope Bite event! Just ask to speak to a Board Member (Alina, DanceswithDaleks, Sardonic, or ShyAphrodite) and specifically ask to be vetted for the event you wish to attend! Questions in the meantime? Richmond Rope Bottoms , is a new group started by Rope Study co-founder Bound_Light and community member Lyrabel! The first munch for this group will occur this upcoming month, on Wednesday, August 14th. Check out the Fetlife page for Richmond Rope Bottoms for more information!
